Shelly Marie Redmond – Editor in Chief/Founder

Shelly Marie Redmond, MS, RD, LDN is Editor in Chief, Founder, and CEO of College Lifestyles™.

She is the savvy ‘big-sis’ for all college students and sorority ladies – offering her tips and suggestions on nutrition, professionalism, health, etiquette, and sorority life.

In 2003, Shelly passed her CDR test to become a registered dietitian, and in 2004 started working with interns from Louisiana Tech University.  Having a passion for health, etiquette, professionalism, and lifestyle promotion, Shelly developed College Lifestyles and in 2009 and began working with interns virtually.  To date, Shelly has worked with over 120 interns in the nutrition, PR, social media and writing fields.  Shelly took College Lifestyles from a simple blog to an the online magazine and media group it is today.

Shelly is a highly sought after nutrition and lifestyle consultant and spokesperson. She has been interviewed by CBS, ABC and NBC affiliate stations, and been seen in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Today’s Diet, Nutrition Magazine, The Forum News and City Lights Magazine, speaking, as always, about nutrition and lifestyle. She is also the author of Eat Well and Be Fabulous: A Guide for the Modern-Day Woman.“  Shelly served for 2 years as National Vice President of her sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau and is currently a member of the American Dietetic Association.

Shelly lives with her husband, her daughter Mireille, and 2 cats, Gizmo and Theodore Roosevelt.  She lives for pencil skirts, dark chocolate, and manners.

Debra Schreiber – Managing Editor

Debra Schreiber, B.A. Journalism, B.A. Spanish, Certified PiYo ™ Strength Instructor is the Managing Editor of College Lifestyles ™.

Debra is a recent graduate from Duquesne University, and brings a fresh and unique perspective on college life and the ups and downs of being a young professional.

Debra threw herself into all sorts of college life adventures during her time at Duquesne: joining honors organizations (Phi Eta Sigma, Golden Key International Honor Society), going on adventures through school programs, (rock climbing, anyone? Also got to pet a giraffe), joining Greek life (Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority Beta Delta Chapter, Rho Lambda) and being involved (Chapter Editor, Program Committee for Miss Duquesne), and beefing up her experiences (Society of Professional Journalists, WDSR, the Duquesne Duke, Lexicon, Off the Bluff for journalism; Phi Sigma Iota and study abroad for Spanish). Post-graduation she worked three part-time jobs until going into full-time work (but still with a part-time job on the side!).

Debra joined College Lifestyles ™ for their Summer 2011 internship program as a Dorm/Apartment Life Writing Intern, became an Editing/Features Writing Intern Summer 2012, and began as College Lifestyles ™ first-ever Managing Editor in August 2012.

Alli Heitzenrater – Social Media Manager

Erie, Pennsylvania has always been home to Alli Heitzenrater, who grew up there with her family, and eventually attended Penn State Erie, the Behrend College. During college, Alli was one her campus’ top student leaders, having served as Student Government Association senator, Academic Affairs Committee Director, served as social chair, publicity chair, and vice president of her sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau.  Alli was also Humanities and Social Sciences editor for the student newspaper, The Behrend Beacon and Panhellenic President. In May 2012, Alli graduated, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.  Shortly after graduation, Alli moved to Pittsburgh, where she now works for Adore, Inc. as a Brand Ambassador.

In her spare time, Alli loves spending time on social media, shopping, watching reality TV, reading, and being with positive people. She has had the same best friend, Cassie, since second grade.  Her favorite book is The Great Gatsby.  In the future, Alli hopes to work full time in the social media field.  She has interned with College Lifestyles™ for a year before accepting her position as Social Media Manager where she served as a writer and editor.  You can follow her on twitter at @alliheitz.
