Calling All Co-Eds! Vote For Your Favorite Scotch Packaging Tape Sculpture

Have you ever thought of packaging tape as an art medium? Five young artists from across the country have put their artistic skills to the test and have been selected as finalists in the third annual Scotch Brand Off the Roll Packaging Tape Sculpture Contest, sponsored by 3M. From a skydiver to an octopus, these sculptures are super cool!

Vote now at OffTheRollContest.com through Wednesday, May 2 to help determine the top two sculptures made from Scotch Packaging Tape. Votes should be based on creativity (60 percent) and presentation (40 percent), and the limit is ten votes per person/email address per day.  The two sculptures with the most votes will go to a final round of judging determined by a panel of experts, and the Grand Prize winner will be awarded $5,000.

College Lifestyles Twitter Party, New Job Bank, and Fabulous Giveaways!

What a wonderful time in the College Lifestyles office!  After months of preparation, our site will house a JOB and INTERNSHIP Bank (JIB for short)!  We are thrilled about being the ‘head huntresses’ for our readers – matching up your resumes with prospective employees!  Starting 4/19, you will be able to visit our JIB, post your resume, AND search for job openings!

In celebration of our SITE MAKEOVER, we are hosting a ‘Job/Intern’ Search Twitter Party on Wednesday 4/18 at 9PM EST/8PM CST using the hashtag #CLchat.  We will cover various topics related to perfecting your resume/cover letter, mastering a job interview, and optimizing your job search.  Immediately following the chat, individuals will be able to not only post their resume on our site, but also view job openings from various companies and organizations.

Are You A Stylish Co-Ed? Enter our ‘Green with Envy’ Style Competition

Consider yourself a stylish co-ed?  Constantly told, ‘Love your outfit.’  Asked by friends, ‘Can you help me pick out something to wear?’

If yes, then showcase your talents in our ‘Green with Envy’ Style Competition.  With the approach of Spring and St. Patrick’s Day, we are tying in a ‘green theme’ to the competition.  Simply take a picture (of you or a friend you styled) OR design a Polyvore based around one green clothing item or accessory.  Email the picture to info@collegelifestyles.org with your name, university, year in studies, and blog url (if you have one) by March 1st.

Our 3 favorite entries will be featured in a blog post on March 17th, and all entries will be featured in our Virtual Fashion Show via our You Tube Channel (TheCollegeLifestyles) on March 17th.

College Lifestyles Presents the 14-Day Valentine’s Challenge!

Roses are red, 

Violets are blue, 

Sugar is sweet,

And so are you!

Remember the carefree days of love?  Where simple poems (similar to the one above) and a checked Yes or No on a handwritten crush note symbolized our relationship status with a significant other.

College Lifestyles is going back to the carefree days of love!  Starting on February 1st, we will post, tweet, tumble, and pin various topics related to love.  Our 14 day challenge will bring back the ‘warm fuzzy‘ we had from our first crush, our first sent flower, and our first dance (even if we were sporting pigtails and braces!).

We encourage you to comment on all our post, follow us using the hashtag #CLlove, RT our ‘sweet’ quotes, and of course, share the love with not just your significant other, but with your family, sisters, and best friends.

At the end of our 14 days, you will not only feel love, but you will also have shared love with others.

Love to Cook?! Join Small Kitchen College in the Slow Cooker Challenge!

Calling all foodies!  Our friends over at Small Kitchen College and Naptime Chef are hosting a Slow Cooker Challenge!

The week will kick off Monday, January 16th on BGSK/SKC and The Naptime Chef with an announcement of the challenge and a big giveaway of slow cookers from Delonghi and Breville. Lilly Pulitzer: Voting Begins On Three New Sorority Prints!

Lilly Pulitzer knows you want to join her sisterhood.
