Live Love Relay: College Lifestyles Partners Up with Arlington Relay for Life.

Moms.  Dads.  Sisters.  Brothers.  Cousins.  Aunts.  Uncles.  BFFs.  Neighbors. Colleagues.  When asking the question, ‘Do you know someone with cancer?’ the likely response will be one of the above individuals.  The College Lifestyles office is not immune to cancer, our Editor-in-Chief lost her mother and most recently a college friend and her father is a survivor; a former intern lost her younger sister; and a current intern’s mom is a survivor.  In addition, each of us know countless family members, friends, and acquaintances who are survivors and sadly, who lost their battle.

We are not the only ones who want to fight back and find cure, thousands of Americans join forces to fight and find a cure by participating in Relay for Life.  Relay For Life is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

College Lifestyles is thrilled to have a team at the Arlington, TX Relay for Life.  Our team, Live Love Relay, consist of College Lifestyles Interns and students from the PRSSA and Association of Women in Communications at University of Texas at Arlington.  The team will be present the entire Relay and put on a ‘Fashionably Fighting Cancer’ fashion show at the Ranger Ball Park Coca-Cola Pavilion on 4/21 during the festivities.  Dillards and several local boutiques including Wedding World Formal Wear, Victoria’s Fashions, Sassy Tees, and Brownstone Village will showcase their pieces in the show.  These boutiques along with local spas have graciously donated goods for a raffle where ALL proceeds will be donated to the Arlington Relay for Life.

Certified Classy Co-ed & Newest Intern at College Lifestyles

Hi everyone! My name is Britney Brianne Taylor. I am a 26 year old Senior at the  University of Texas at Arlington, in Arlington, Texas. I am majoring in Public Relations, and minoring in Psychology. I have been with College Lifestyles since: December, 2011 and can’t wait to get started this semester! I am a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, Phi Kappa Phi, AWC  & PRSSA on campus at UTA. I have three pets. A Beta named Prince Charles, Sucker-fish named Spike and a Snail named Cutie. My friends say I am: Funny, silly, goofy, smart, & a good mommy. My astrological sign is Aquarius. My personal style is: Modern/Contemporary. My Favorite clothing stores are: Maurices, American Eagle, Victoria’s SecretMy Favorite movie is Drop Dead Fred. It’s hilarious! My favorite book is Warrior Girl, by Britney Brianne Taylor, yes it’s a personal fav. My Favorite quote is:  “Be yourself. My definition of a classy co-ed: Someone who can have fun and be fun while still maintaining good grades and status at work and at school.
