The Vow Movie Review–I “Vow” You Will Not Be Disappointed

What do two people’s marriage vows hold? What do they promise? They are supposed to promise forever, in all forms, for better or worse. No two stayed more true to those vows than Paige and Leo.
The Vow is a love story almost too good to be true. It gives us hope that there actually is chance of finding “the one.” Of course not everyone’s guy can look and act like Channing Tatum, but a girl can dream, right?
Paige is an artist, who is an amazing sculpturer and Leo is a hard-working man as well as he works in the music industry, owning a recording studio. They both love what they do. They both love each other. Perfect, right? Wrong. A few months after their wedding when they decide to think about starting a family, the unthinkable happens. A car accident that leaves Paige’s memory set back around 5 years in the past, while she was still in law school and hadn’t met Leo yet.
Amidst all the struggle, an old ex-fiancée, overbearing out-of-the-picture parents now trying to make their way back into the picture, Paige is struggling to remember who she is. Leo will not give up on her. He tries everyday to make her remember. When he promised forever, he meant it. When confronted by friends he has a positive outlook, “I get to make my wife fall in love with me all over again.” It’s a beautiful story about second chances and as Leo said in their vows, “I vow to never forget this is once in a lifetime love.”
The Vow is based on true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, who wrote a novel under the same title. For fans of the Vow and the Notebook, and just anyone who loves an amazing love story it is an absolute must go-see! I loved every second of it, but as a word of advice—don’t forget to bring tissues.

Score Your Own Touchdown This Superbowl…With Style

Every girl has the dream at least once in her life to date the super-cute football player (if you were in high school or a fan of the NFL). With Superbowl around the corner, I found stylish outfits for you to look like the ultimate fan and feel unstoppable enough to score a touchdown yourself!
We all know this game will end one of two ways, the Giants will win, or the Patriots will win, but as far as style goes I’ll call it a tiebreaker. Both outfits are equally cute and sporty, so just sit back, grab some snacks, and get ready to cheer!
The first look I created was for the New York Giants. I was inspired for this by the classic, football-loving fashionista who loves to be comfortable and cozy when watching a game. I love 80’s style and was instantly inspired when I found this Giants off-the-shoulder burnout sweatshirt. Junkfood Clothing makes the stylish vintage sweatshirt (famous for the “Little Miss…” shirts) and it sells on Amazon for $39.00. Pair with a burnt orange tank from generalpants.com to complete the look. The steal of the outfit is the ‘I’m a great catch’ underwear from Victoria’s Secret for $3.99! It is a cute touch showing spirit from head-to-toe. I am also I huge fan of ripped jeans; it goes along the relaxed look. My favorite brand has to be Joe’s Jeans. The denim is super-soft; it’s almost like wearing your favorite sweats. I purchased mine from Sack’s Fifth Avenue for just under $100. Lastly, what outfit would be complete without accessories? I found these adorable slippers with the NY Giants logo and colors for $30 from nflshop.com. The baseball hat, $22 from Amazon, adds a flare to the outfit. Last but not least the tote! Wouldn’t you be the coolest girl at the Superbowl party carrying all the snacks and goodies for on Sunday? You can purchase the bag for $25 from the nflshop.com.
Now to be 100% fair, there is another team fighting for the title, the New England Patriots! My favorite football item of all time would be the sequin football shirt. I personally own a Pittsburgh Steelers sequin shirt, and you can purchase it for any team from Victoria’s secret for about $50. Match it with a white long sleeve thermal, I found this one for $14, and this puffed Patriots’ vest both from Victoria’s Secret. One of my favorite trends this year is the trend of colored denim, particularly red. Show off you’re Patriots’ spirit with red jeans like these J Brand ones I found for $69 from barneys.com! To finish off the look, how perfect are these New Balance shoes in the New England’s navy and scarlet red? Go ahead and tell your friends the “N” stands for New England!
I can assure you whatever look you decide to sport, you won’t be disappointed, and who knows, you might score the football cutie you always wanted. That’s a touchdown if you ask me!

Classic RockStar: Winter Date Look for Under $100!

Winter is a time to love to fall in love. Everyone wants to spend the holidays with that special someone. Once the holiday’s pass that feeling doesn’t go away it lasts all winter
The look I put together is just under $100 for the whole ensemble! That’s less than one pair of designer jeans. All of the pieces are classics so you won’t have to worry about them going out of style.
When I was looking for inspiration for the date night look I thought well about how you want to present yourself. On a date you want to show you have a sweet side, but also have a little edge. I picked colors that would portray just that. I picked nude/tan color for the soft neutral and the obvious staple and edgy color, black.
The main purpose of this article for me is to show you don’t have to spend a million dollars to look like a million bucks. I set the budget under $100, and though it came close at $97.76 I can assure you for the classic pieces you’re getting would be a steal. The key is to not get the exact pieces it’s to take the ideas I’ve styled and make them your own. Individuality is important for a classy co-ed.
For my look I selected all my pieces from two stores, H&M and Forever 21. These two stores as most money-saving fashion-lovers know are the best for getting designer inspired looks for much less.
First, I started with the tank from H&M, it flows and in the tan/nude color I chose. I also love the saying I think it shows you have a fun side with cute sayings on a shirt, and best of all, it’s $13 for H&M!
Second, I found the perfect skirt to match with the edgy thick stripes. The skirt is $5.26 from H&M as well. I found leggings to go underneath for $6.50 from Forever 21, a little less than the H&M price of $13 dollars.
Next I added a faux-leather jacket because it’s leather and I think it gives the outfit a little less soft and prevents it from being too girly.
To me a date night essential is accessories. Heels are always a nice touch for a date; the elongate your legs and make you stand straighter with more confidence. If heels aren’t your style, nude flats or booties work well for winter too. My must have accessory for this winter is a scarf I found this great nude-toned knit scarf for $8 from Forever 21. Scarves are great investment pieces, especially if you live in a cold climate, they are a must. My last essential for a date is a clutch. The one I chose is nude and black with a flower detail. It is also important to bring a clutch as you’re emergency kit with all your must have items. Also, Just because it’s winter that doesn’t mean you can’t still embrace floral prints and details.
Have fun in the winter season. Let yourself not be afraid to try new things and look great in the process.
