The holidays are on there way and with them come the rush of shopping for lovely gifts for everyone. The two big days for shopping, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, are right around the corner, which begs the question: which day will you choose? The CL team was posed the question:
“I prefer Cyber Monday because I get overwhelmed with crowds of people at the mall. Shopping’s my outlet – I don’t want to be stressed while shopping!” –Kimberly Anastos, Quinnipiac University, 2014
“I prefer Cyber Monday. No lines. Same great deals”- Mallory Hatten, U of Southern Miss, 2013
“I prefer Black Friday. I know there are a lot of crowds, but whomever I’m shopping with and I always have a system. I feel like it’s the only way you are guaranteed you’re going to get the right thing, especially with shoes and clothes.”- Alyssa Schuyler Saint Leo University, 2014
“Cyber Monday!!! I can compare prices much quicker!”- Shelly Marie Redmond, CollegeLifestyles Owner
“Cyber Monday. Nothing better than scoring great deals from the comfort of your own bed.”- Natalie Raymond, Texas Christian University, graduate student
“Black Friday because I like the rush of getting up early and seeing other people in the store.”- Courtney Smith, University of Memphis, 2013
“Black Friday because I love the chaos and it’s tradition for all of my girl relatives to brave the crowds at 5am together!”- Rachel Crocetti, Hofstra University, 2015
“Cyber Monday-same great deals, no crowds, can shop in more than one place at the same time.”- Tariro Mzezewa, John Cabot University, 2014
“Cyber Monday. I did Black Friday once and I can tell you I’ll never wake up that early to get dressed and be around a million cranky people ever again. I’ve never actually done Cyber Monday, but at least it can be done in pj’s from the comfort of my room.”- Debra Schreiber, Duquesne University alum
“Black Friday! I look forward to it every year because it’s become a tradition with my sister and mom. We wake up super early and throw on sweats and always hit the same stores. Afterwards we go to breakfast. We probably could get the same deals during Cyber Monday, but I enjoy Black Friday because of the fun time with my family. I hate waking up early, but since I know it’s only once a year, it actually is fun to be out and about before the sun comes up.”- Ashley Offenback, Penn State University, 2013
“Black Friday all the way! I like being able to try on and see the clothes. The rush and excitement of waking up at the crack of dawn to go shopping is what I look forward too!”- Meghan Keane, Duquesne University, 2014
“Cyber Monday!! Mainly because I was a server up until this year so I always worked Black Friday!”- Samantha Schafer, Saint Louis University, Grad Student
“I love Black Friday. It is a great bonding experience with my brothers and dad and it is a fun time overall. Waking up at 2 a.m. and waiting in line with everyone is just a rush. It’s organized chaos and it makes whatever product you are buying all the better, because you put in loads of effort to get it.” –Kristen Tomkowid, Ithaca College, 2015
