Chic Style:  The Brocade Trend
October 28, 2012 | by

The Brocade trend takes us back in time to renaissance Europe. (Think Queen Elizabeth and rich satin prints). The brocade uses rich fabrics with gold embroidery and glossy material. This rich fashion was worn by aristocrats and monarchs.

The Brocade trend stems from the early 17th to mid 18th century Victorian era. It was an architecture style emphasizing drama with bold, curving forms and elaborate ornamentation. This trend swept the runways of Dolce and Gabbana & Balmain last season, and it’s great for dressing up and down.

I love this trend because it’s subtle yet very sophisticated and rich. The colors of these dresses are irresistible and unique!

Try it out with a nice brocade top, dress or pant. Everything looks great with a good heel :)
