Loyal Apple users, including many of our CLassy and tech-savvy readers, have been waiting for Sept. 12 for some time now – and the release date of the highly anticipated iPhone 5 has finally been announced!
On Wednesday, Apple’s CEO Timothy Cook, took the stage and unveiled updates that the company will launch with products such as its iPods, iTunes, headphones, and of course, its admired iPhone. The sleek new handset features a larger screen with a thinner profile and is lighter than the previous iPhone by 20%!
The iPhone carries other incredible features such as a faster chip, superfast wireless technology, an 8MP iSight Camera, and much more! It’s hard to believe that a phone that already has so much can add even more – especially since it is reducing in size.
Apple is calling it, “the biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone” – a wise and bold statement to declare. With a company as large and in charge as Apple, statements like this are expected and acceptable. But will it be worth it?
In the past, Apple has experienced various technical issues within weeks of each phone release. From signal problems, Wi-Fi concerns, camera image faults, and all that is in-between, Apple’s iPhone has had its fair share of trials and tribulations.
Only time will tell if this iPhone 5 will live up to expectations – I personally know that I can’t wait! Preorder yours on Sept. 14 on the Apple website or brave the crowds on Sept. 21 at your favorite Apple Retail Store.
