Many of us classy ladies battle frizzy hair daily. The best treatment is usually a straightening iron, but there are so many brands sold: how do you choose?
This week, College Lifestyles had the privilege of trying the Hana Titanium 1.5” straightening iron. This is a professional straightening iron, with ceramic and tourmaline plates that are there to leave your hair shiny and fabulous, not straw-like and droopy. After straightening my hair with this iron it was certainly shiny and soft, but it also lost some volume.
The dial on the iron allows you to heat it from temperatures from 140° to 450° which is higher than my current iron goes to. I did have trouble adjusting the dial to get the temperature I wanted, but once the heat got up, it didn’t really matter.
What was most effective for me was that I was able to straighten my hair, but I could also flip the ends if I wanted to.
Straightening hair is simple: simply blow dry your hair (or, in the case of the Hana straightener, leave it damp), then grab an inch section of your hair, grasp the hair at the top with the iron, and pull down. You may have to repeat this more than once.
Overall, this iron was a good fit for my hair, but I will have to find a product that will give my hair a little lift.
***Disclaimer:We’d like to thank Hana for their Titanium 1.5” straightening iron. As always, opinions are our own.***
