Now that the fall semester is in full swing, it’s time to get involved! With the holiday season approaching fast, it’s the perfect time to give back to your community. No matter what organization or philanthropy you’re supporting, it is important to dress for success. When you’re representing an organization or throwing a charitable event you want chic and classic pieces to wear. CL has a few classy staples that will be sure to get your organization noticed!
Formal Event: Simple Black Dress
This is an article of clothing that is too versatile not to have in your closet! If you are at a formal fundraiser or hosting a table at your school’s student center, you want to catch the attention of potential donators. Look professional and dress it up with some black heels. Just a tip: if you know you will be standing for a long time, bring a nice pair of ballet flats. Looking to stand out even more? Wear a very eccentric necklace. It will look great against the solid black dress!
Casual Event: Dark Jeans and a Tee
Hosting a more casual philanthropy event? (Think dance-offs to raise money, 5k runs, etc.) Wear a pair of dark jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Dark jeans are always more formal than light-wash jeans. Also, stay away from ripped, bedazzled or studded jeans because these accents can act as a distraction. If your organization or club has its own t-shirt that you can sport, that’s always a good idea as well! One of the best ways to advertise is to wear the name of the organization right on your clothing. Rock a comfortable pair of flat shoes like Converse or Tom’s and you’ll be ready to go!
Use these tips and tricks to present yourself and your philanthropy in the classiest way possible! Looking for an awesome philanthropy to be involved in? Look into joining or starting a She’s the First chapter on your campus! Hint: you get to make these awesome and tasty tie-dye cupcakes!
