Moving into a new apartment is an exciting and big step in your life. Hosting a housewarming party is a great way to open your new home to your family and friends and introduce them to this part of your life.
- Decide who to invite and start sending invitations at least two weeks in advance. If your guests live in the same building be sure to hand deliver these invitations. This is a fabulous way to introduce yourself to your new neighbors.

- Clearing out the apartment to create space for company may be difficult, but can be done by organizing in a way that utilizes the space you do have. Make use of alternative seating, such as pillows on the floor, and don’t be scared to bring chairs from other rooms into the common area to seat everyone comfortably.

- You’ll also want to have some food at your party. Finger foods are light, fresh, and easy to prepare. They also allow your guests to mingle and move around without a heavy plate. Mini sandwiches, fruit salads, cucumber cups, and cheese plates take very little time and cost less money than extravagant dishes.

- When the party arrives, welcome your guests into your new home with enthusiasm, thank them for attending, take their coats and bags, and have your classy party playlist ready to go. If the thought of sorting through your music library seems daunting, try using an application that plays songs to fit your mood or theme.
