I’m sure you’ve heard that you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day. Whether you follow that rule or
not, summer is the best time to wear white-it’s bright, simple, and makes your tan look great! Here’s a couple different ways to get you started:
1. Cropped Pants
The same way pastel pants are making a comeback, white pants are too. Try pairing white skinny jeans with a light button-down or blouse for a cute, summery look.
White sundresses will never go out of style. Cotton sundresses are perfect for hot, summer nights. Try a peasant-style skirt, paired with flat strappy sandals for a boho look. While the Little Black Dress is a closet must-have, the little white dress is the next big thing!
Blazers can really pull an outfit together. While black blazers are the most popular, white blazers are fresh and new. They are just as versatile as the black blazers, but add some brightness to your look.
You can wear a white blazer with anything from a pair of jeans to a summer dress.
You are never too old or too young for a new pair of sneakers. White sneaks or tennis shoes are a great shoe to wear when you are at a casual picnic or party. Keds will always be a popular choice, as well as Converses with jean shorts and a cute graphic tee.
5. Bathing Suit
If the beach is your favorite place to hang out in the summer, don’t shy away from a white suit to catch everyone’s attention! Against your tanned skin, the bathing suit will stand out and look great. If a white bikini is a little too much for you, try wearing a white cover-up over your bikini. This is equally as trendy and has much more coverage.
While bright colors are fun to wear in the warmer months, don’t shy away from white. It will always be a simple but glam choice and you can pair with anything! For summer whites that are great for a college budget, check out Shaundra’s article.
