Along with the heat of summer comes tasty seasonal food and overwhelming cravings for ice cream. It tastes, looks and smells just like soft-served chocolate ice cream but is made with only two exceptionally nutritious ingredients. Who knew frozen bananas could turn into a creamy summer treat?

1. Peel the banana. Cut the banana into four pieces, place them in a Ziploc bag and pop it in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

2. Take out frozen banana pieces and place into the blender with 3 heaping tablespoons of Ovaltine.

3. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Easy, right? For a healthy spin on a classic Ben & Jerry’s ™ ice cream flavor, add ½ cup of walnuts and ½ cup of chocolate chips into the mix. Pop the blended mixture into the freezer and scoop out an hour later for the famous Ben & Jerry’s ice cream texture.

Enjoy!
