There’s nothing like a cold, creamy smoothie to boost your energy and satisfy your snacking on a hot summer day. If you love fruit and are looking for some delicious new recipes to try, then look no further. These are some of my favorites!
Peanut butter banana rama
1 cup of milk/soy milk
2 bananas, sliced and peeled
¼ cup peanut butter
½ cup of ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend until smooth. Normally I add frozen fruit as a substitute for ice because it gives the smoothie a creamier texture, but in this recipe that’s not possible. You can also add a tablespoon of protein if you’re looking for the extra boost of energy.
Morning wake up
1 banana, sliced and peeled
1 peach, sliced
1 cup of frozen blueberries
1 carton of low-fat vanilla yogurt
A splash of orange juice
½ cup of soy/milk
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. This makes a nice thick smoothie that gives you a burst of energy to help start your day off on the right foot.
Mid-day energy burst
1 cup of milk/soy milk
1 carton of low-fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup of canned apricots with juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth for a smoothie that will have you feeling fresh again come the afternoon.
Break out your blender and try these delicious healthy recipes to have your body looking fabulous for the beach this summer!
