For all you classy co-eds that love college football, get ready because the 2010 season is about to begin. But before it begins I thought it would be a great time to put together a guide on how to dress, act and enjoy the game to its fullest potential.
The Way to Dress
For those of you in a sorority, you might have a certain way you represent your chapter at games. Here at Western, sorority sisters will wear cute sun dresses, dressy tops and slacks, or polo’s and jeans in our school colors.

Delta Zeta's at WCU
For those of you who are not in a sorority, you can rock out just about anything. A cute pair of jeans or shorts or skirt with a replica school jersey, or university t-shirt. Or you can pull out the sun dresses and mini heels. Just be sure to incorporate your universities colors.

Wear Your School Colors
Whatever university you go to, dress accordingly, and always stay classy. After all, you are representing not only yourself but your university as well.
The Way to Act
The way you present yourself at a football game says a lot about who you are. Instead of me telling you how to act, let me tell you what you should not do in the tailgating lots… or in the games.
What NOT to do while tailgating:
- DON’T get overly wasted! – You are there to have fun, but not become a sloppy drunk in public.
- DON’T talk trash about the other team. – Yes, your team is competing against the other team, but this does not permit you to talk trash. Act like a true lady or gentlemen and all will be fine.
- DON’T get in a fight! – If you have been drinking (which most of us do at tailgating events) avoid being negative or nasty to friends or opposing team students. If you get caught their will be penalties you’ll face.
As long as you act sophisticated, and enjoy your time with your friends you will have a great time. Football is suppose to be exciting and fun, don’t make it a negative experience. You only get four years to enjoy tailgating so don’t make stupid mistakes. HAVE FUN!
Enjoying the Game
The one thing you should remember when it comes to enjoying a college football game is simple. Just have fun! Represent your school properly and cheer your football team on to victory (whether they are good or not).
