Halloween is almost here! Have you picked out your costume yet for this hip, spooky night?
Where I go to school, Halloween isn’t only celebrated on October 31st; it’s more like a week long fun-filled, ghoolish costume party! If you have a few Halloween events to attend this year, here are a few of our favorite DIY costumes. These costumes will allow you to save a little cash, get creative, and “go green” all while having the time of your life.
Bag full of Jelly Beans- Cut 2 holes in the bottom of a clear trash bag for your legs and then make 2 more at the top for your arms - Fill up 15-20 multi-colored balloons and stuff them in the trash bag - Tie a loose ribbon around your neck to keep the your costume in place - Tape a sign to the front of the bag that says “Jelly Beans”
Facebook Page- Get a giant white poster board - Turn it vertical and cut out a rectangle in the left hand corner where your face will be - Get a black and blue colored Sharpie to fill in your information
Kate Gosselin- Throw on your bright blond, side parted wig - Wear crisply ironed capri pants, a collared tank top and a pair of flip flops - If you have a boyfriend, it may be funny to make him go as Jon (earrings and all)
High School Musical- Get each of your friends to choose a character - Wear red and white Wildcat colors
The ladies from Mad Men- Go to Goodwill and find a vintage, 60′s inspired dress - Throw on a pair of classy heels, pearl earrings, and a simple necklace
- Put your hair up in a bun but leave a few loose curls around your face
Happy Halloween! Be sure to stay classy and safe ladies.
